"Dr. Robbins and the staff of Robbins Laser Site have changed my life. Before my procedure, I had been wearing glasses for over twenty years. As an active person, the inconvenience of glasses had always been a source of frustration for me. Constant cleaning and adjustments, and fumbling for them on my night stand when I woke up. Contact lenses just never seemed to work well for me. My entire military experience was an exercise in frustration because of my dependence on thick, heavy glasses.

Now I wake up every morning to clear vision. In less then one week from my procedure I was seeing 20/20 without corrective lenses.

The process was simple and every step was thoroughly explained to me. The first step was going to the informational seminar Dr. Robbins holds each month. At this seminar I learned all about the history of LASIK, how the procedure is performed and met the staff. At the seminar I was also able to speak with Sherman Burdette, the local Fox TV news anchor. Sherman had recently undergone bilateral LASIK eye surgery performed by Dr. Robbins and was very enthusiastic about his new vision.

After the seminar, I scheduled a pre-operative examination to identify if I was a suitable candidate for the procedure. During the testing I was checked for glaucoma, numerous measurements of my eyes were taken included computerized analysis of the shape; the staff was very thorough and left no stone unturned. After the results were carefully reviewed, it was decided that I was a good candidate for LASIK eye surgery.

Less than 2 weeks later, the date for my surgery arrived. I will have to admit, I was a little bit nervous. However my nerves were quickly calmed by the professionalism of Dr. Robbins and his staff. They did everything possible to make me comfortable. The procedure itself was a breeze; Dr. Robbins explained every detail. From start to finish it took less then 20 minutes to correct both of my eyes.

My recovery time was minimal, and the next day I was able to drive myself to my follow-up appointment. The doctor examined my eyes and declared my uncorrected vision to be 20/20 in each eye. My vision seemed to be clearer than it had been with my glasses and by noon of the same day I was back at the computer. Needless to say, this made my boss very happy. Contrary to my fears, I did not experience any problems with glare or discomfort.

I now look forward to a lifetime of clear vision with my family. I will be swimming, golfing and coaching my son's little league team and football team without glasses and seeing better then ever. Thank you Dr. Robbins!"

Three Month Update: I am now over 3 months out and can read the 20/15 line on the eye chart for the first time in my life! More amazingly, my golf handicap which had been a steady 12 for the past few years, miraculously dropped to 7. The source of this improvement eluded me until my golf buddy reminded me of my recent eye surgery. I honestly had completely forgotten about my LASIK eye surgery! After analyzing my game, what has improved dramatically is my putting. I attribute this to my increased peripheral vision. No wonder Tiger Woods is winning all those tournaments!

Two Year Update: I can still see perfectly! Over the past couple of years, I have had a few friends go to Canada to have Laser Vision Correction, just to save a few bucks. None of them got the results they were seeking. When you add up all the drive time plus the inconveinance of traveling outside the country, they really didn't save any money.
